Place Mats and Target Platforms

Place mats and target platforms are versatile tools for teaching dogs where to go, how to settle, and how to engage with a specific location. They give you clear, repeatable cues and help shape calm, reliable responses in home, obedience, and travel settings.

When paired with rewards, these tools can be used to build focus, impulse control, and a strong sense of place. By rewarding correct choices consistently, your dog learns that being on the mat or platform is a calm, worthwhile behaviour.
